    Tyler Gilbert

    Design Director, Tyler Gilbert Design

    With over 20 years of design behind him, Tyler is an experienced industrial designer based in the Pacific Northwest. He’s passionate about creating engaging products and experiences that connect consumers with brands on a meaningful level. He’s worked within a number of categories, including consumer electronics, food and beverage containment, and the e-bike industry. He’s recently launched his own independent design studio.

    Greg Janky

    Principal Designer, Anvil Studios

    Greg Janky is the co-founder and principal industrial designer at Anvil Studios, Inc. Greg has established himself as a visionary in the field, bringing a wealth of expertise and a passion for design to each project he undertakes.

    With a career spanning over twenty-five years, Greg has accumulated a diverse range of experiences in industrial design and physical user experience. He has worked on countless projects in a variety of industries, including consumer electronics, life science instruments, professional equipment, housewares, and fitness equipment. His designs have won multiple awards and have been featured in publications worldwide, solidifying his reputation as a leading industrial designer.

    Anvil Studios focuses on helping clients bring elegant, thoughtful user experiences and beautifully manufacturable designs to market. As co-founder of Anvil Studios, Greg has been instrumental in building a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration. His leadership has contributed to the studio's success, guiding its talented team of designers in delivering world-class design solutions that exceed client expectations. His commitment to quality and attention to detail are evident in each of the studio's projects, inspiring clients and colleagues alike.

    Prior to co-founding Anvil Studios in 2008, Greg spent 12 years designing for companies in various industries, including Precor, Starbucks, Nike, Tupperware, Eddie Bauer, Sonicare, and Trimble Navigations. He was responsible for each products’ success from initial concept through manufacturing both domestically and overseas. He holds 100+ design awards and 66 patents.

    Bridget Stephas

    Gear Designer, REI

    Bridget Stephas is a Gear Designer at REI, specializing in technical softgoods, including backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, and running vests. With a passion for crafting high-quality gear, she focuses on blending innovation with functionality to create products that meet the diverse needs of outdoor enthusiasts. Before joining REI, Bridget worked at ENO (Eagles Nest Outfitters), where she played a key role in designing camping hammocks and outdoor accessories. Her experience spans a wide range of outdoor products, equipping her with a deep understanding of materials, durability, and performance.

    Bridget is deeply committed to improving inclusivity in the outdoors. She strives to design gear that not only performs well but also motivates more people to get outside and explore.

    Currently based in Seattle, Washington, Bridget spends her free time enjoying the Pacific Northwest’s incredible outdoor offerings.

    Kate Locke-Peck

    Director of Footwear Design, Brooks Running

    Kate Locke-Peck is the Director of Footwear Design at Brooks Running where she focuses on the future of footwear design, analyzes sports industry trends to drive aesthetic and performance decisions, specializes in CMF (Color, Material, Finish) and mentors the design team to create the best performance run product.

    Kate has over 19 years of design experience grounded in a strong foundation in Industrial Design. Prior to her role at Brooks, she worked with companies including Lifetime Brands, Puma, Chef’n and Starbucks. She has designed products ranging from housewares to soft goods, led trend forecasting, established teams and processes for CMF application, and implemented sustainable strategies for product creation. Her experience spans a wide range of design disciplines, offering a unique blend of creativity and strategic vision.

    Outside of her professional work, Kate channels her passion for design into Sunset Hill Studio, a Seattle-based art and design brand. The studio emphasizes ethical materials, original surface design, and the exploration of mixed mediums—reflecting her commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.
