This project mainly develop a kind of earthwork excavating machinery product which work in confined area, it mainly used in yard or laneway. It is comprised of chassis, cab , work device and counterweight group.
2. The Brief: Summarize the problem you set out to solve. What was the context for the project, and what was the challenge posed to you?It mainly solve the problem of efficiency and work intensity of earthwork which work in confined area. The technical spirit comes from big tonnage earthwork mechanical product. The most challenge is try our best to compress dimension of machine, control its weight, confirm the beauty of cover parts, make sure the reliability and high efficiency at the same time.
3. The Intent: What point of view did you bring to the project, and were there additional criteria that you added to the brief?Project designed with the concept of mini, earthwork construction become easy and cool.
4. The Process: Describe the rigor that informed your project. (Research, ethnography, subject matter experts, materials exploration, technology, iteration, testing, etc., as applicable.) What stakeholder interests did you consider? (Audience, business, organization, labor, manufacturing, distribution, etc., as applicable)This project was established at the bottom of 2010, Marketing Department and Technical Department had done the research for 1 month. The team is made up of 11 excellent engineers, including two industry engineers, two hydraulic engineers, one electrical engineer, three structure engineers, one power engineer, two testing engineers. It adopts advanced electrical and hydraulic technique at present. It is focus on reliability and safety. It was finished engineering model machine in July,2011 and spent two and half months to test and improvement. First batch of product had consigned to customer in December,2011.
5. The Value: How does your project earn its keep in the world? What is its value? What is its impact? (Social, educational, economic, paradigm-shifting, sustainable, environmental, cultural, gladdening, etc.)This project realized earthwork mechanization in confined area, it brings huge economical efficiency to construction organization and itself at the same time.
Small is beautiful. This well designed mini excavating machine is a good example. Of course, it is an earthwork mechanical product with reliability and high efficiency, but when you use it, it’s like playing with a big toy!
