Multi Dine High chair
The design of the chair is innovative in style and function. It provides solutions for different development stages of the child by being able to serve as 3 different products: a high chair, booster and junior chair. The shape allows for quick transformation between the different seating options and for compact storage of legs and accessories, thus saving much needed space. The seat cover can be easily and quickly detached, washed and dried due to its flexible polymer material.

Multi dine " grows with the child" high chair was designed as a result of understanding today’s urban society and parents’ need for products that fit into small compact interiors, serve multiple purposes and blend in with the design style of their home.
3. The Intent: What point of view did you bring to the project, and were there additional criteria that you added to the brief?
The Multi Dine High Chair is a product of observation in which we identified that most of baby care products are used in public areas at home such as living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
Usually those products designed in a childish way and therefore distinguished from their surroundings.
In the design brief of our product we defined that the product should be designed with a "Modern Furniture look" and therefore part of our design process focused on identifying textures and shapes that will create the look and feel of a furniture piece while keeping the needs of easy cleaning and smooth ergonomic surface
Our process started from identifying the needs of the end user while feeding a child.
We found that there are few main elements that are important to the parent.
First is the safety of the child after comes cleaning, functionality and the design of the product.
We were surprised from few astounding parents' feedbacks
• Parents don’t fold away their high chair on a daily basis
• The child don’t like to sit on a high chair when he is grown, he wants to be part of the family and therefore they buy booster seat that sits on the dining chair.
• The high chair is furniture and not baby product.
The brief of the product bundled all the needs; we are ready to create a plastic chair that will serve the child in different stages of his growth. Will have detachable parts for easy cleaning, be very compact and will look as a furniture piece.
We had a challenge to create a product that will be very functional but at the same time will have a clean elegant look.
As our main material is plastic the design process is a dialog between 3D files and agronomic models.
While determine product dimensions, shapes and surfaces on 3d software are needed to have real models. Each model was tested on vast range of children from different genders and age groups.
We tested measurements, sitting positions, and comfort.
All the mechanism was 3d modeled in the process to come up with easy operation.
As we know parents now days are very busy and we wanted to come up with the best time saving solution.
The fact that the product can contain his parts enables a great storing solution and very compact packaging. Thus creating very efficient logistic both for the store and manufacture.
In our era the product life cycle is getting shorter as a result of rapid technological advances and material use. Commodity products are becoming cheaper due to the competition in the market. Our homes are flooded with products that were used for a short time period and now discarded. The Multi Dine High Chair tries to give a different perspective. As a multi functional product it serves the family while it grows, the different product modes are used by a child from baby to toddler. The product is made in plastic injection technology therefore creates a product that is resistant and preserves its quality for a long period of time. The products smart packaging mode allows the entire product pieces to be stored and save together without getting lost till you need it with your next child.
An industrial product can be designed to maintain usefulness for a certain period of time, such as the dramatic growth of a child in its infant years.
