Johan Liden is the co-founder of aruliden, a progressive brand strategy and product design agency that bridges the gap between marketing and design through their process of producting. Originally from Sweden, Johan brings his disruptive design aesthetic and hands on approach to start ups and large companies alike. His ability to bring innovation across disciplines and product categories has led him to be recognized within companies such as NIKE, LG, AM Labs and even the Estee Lauder group -where he developed products that have contributed to the company’s overall success. He’s passionate about making things simple.

Aruliden // Senior Industrial Designer

Brett Tom is a New York City based Industrial Designer with over 12 years of experience working on a diverse range of award winning consumer products. He has led New York design teams at ECCO Design and Smart Design, and also worked in house at LG Electronics where he was able to partner with Seoul based design groups to help define the design direction and strategy for many US focused future technology experiences. In 2013 he joined the ARULIDEN team to more deeply explore the connection between product design, strategy, and brand building. He has also spent time as an associate professor teaching drawing in the Industrial Design program at his alma mater Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.

Former client work includes, Herman Miller, OXO, Kef Audio, Virgin Brands, LG Electronics, WOVO, and Tefal.

Josh is a co-founder of Branch, an industrial design and branding agency in San Francisco. An agency in the traditional sense, Branch offers industrial design and brand consulting services to clients from Fortune 500s to start-ups.

Josh’s work for clients—such as General Electric, Coca Cola, Johnson and Johnson, Prada, Issey Miyake, Swarovski, Samsung, Target and Puma—have established him at the forefront of marrying form with function and brand with product. Josh’s work has been exhibited in museums and competitions including the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Triennial, MOMA and Chicago Art Institute, and has been recognized with over 40 international design awards from organizations such as IDSA, ID Magazine, iF and reddot.

Google X // Lead Designer of Glass

Isabelle Olsson is the lead designer of Glass, one of the products from inside Google[x]. She joined the team in 2011, when the prototype was still a phone attached to a scuba mask, and has since guided the team to iterate towards a minimalist design language for Glass.

Prior to joining Google, Isabelle worked at Fuseproject designing a wide variety of products, ranging from tablets and TVs, to exhibitions and accessories. She has also designed several furniture pieces exhibited at Milan Furniture Fair.

Isabelle grew up in Sweden and was influenced early on by Scandinavian minimalist design. She has a Masters degree in Fine Arts and Industrial Design from Lund University and was selected by Wallpaper magazine as one of the world’s most promising design graduates.

Her ultimate goal as a designer is to make people’s lives easier and more beautiful.

Wyatt A. Cline is recognized as a key leader in effectively managing multi-disciplinary product creation teams as well as working with process partners to embed the link between design and business. He is viewed as a thought leader in the area of brand development, especially in the linking of brand strategies and consumer insights to the product development process.

Cline is the Director of Advanced Design at Newell-Rubbermaid. Working cross-functionally Cline oversees a team of Industrial Design and CMF specialists. Cline has held roles of increasing responsibility with global industry leaders such as Kohler and Whirlpool Corporation. He has a strong track record of developing and leading Design organizations. One example includes his leadership of Whirlpool’s Global Design department in Monterrey, Mexico.

Cline attended the University of Illinois and graduated with honors in Industrial Design in 2001. Additionally he has been an active member of the Industrial Designers Society of America and the University of Illinois Alumni Association.

Cline has presented or contributed to numerous college speaker series including University of Michigan, University of Illinois, University of Notre Dame and IDSA’s Midwest Chapter. Most recently, he presented to the University of Michigan, MBA program on Building a Brand Language Strategy. Cline has received 4 design awards for product design excellence and has been awarded in excess of 30 Design and Utility patents.
