The Fade Task Light was inspired by our natural connection with light and how it changes throughout the day. As a design studio we are acutely aware of the power light has to affect the perceived world around us. We struggled to find a task light for our own studio that was at the same time highly functional, beautiful and affordable. We designed the Fade Task Light to provide high performance illumination, combined with the free range of motion to position the light output wherever it is needed. It can transform mood and inspire a new approach to the task at hand.

Unique to our design, eyestrain and fatigue are reduced when the light color temperature is shifted to match the task at hand and time of day. The intuitive dimmer and color temperature blender allows the light output to be simultaneously set to the desired color and luminosity, adjusting to individual needs while transitioning between tasks.

In addition, a metal base, die cut pieces of steel, and some carefully tuned magnets ensure a smooth, flexible, and flawless 120° range of vertical motion for the articulated arm, and 270° of rotation in the base. The intuitive multi-slider control allows the light color to shift easily from warm to cool light (2700K - 5600K) and from dim to bright light (94 - 450 lumens). The base also includes a USB port for charging mobile devices.
