Turns out the open office isn't without its problems. While it's great at being, well, open, sometimes a home stretch or tight deadline calls for a bit of privacy and reduced distractions. This left us with the question, "How can we help the modern worker focus in the open office?" While the details behind how the human brain focuses is rather scientific, our solution is quite simple; reduce the physical space for knickknack and clutter, and provide high enough walls to block out that distracting peripheral vision.

While intended as a temporary dwelling for the focus seeking worker, the Seamless functions just as well as an all in one cubical, encouraging an efficient space in a private place.

Distractions come in all shapes and sizes, from the full size human to the slightly smaller cellphone, and no sense is safe from them. There's something to be said for managing distractions, or perhaps even developing the will power to ignore them, but sometimes simply getting away from them is a good start.

Inspired by the seamless backdrops used for studio photography, the aptly named Seamless is the place to go to get away from it all. The warm white and wood accents helps maintain openness and lightness in a partially enclosed space. The cover, or walls, are significant enough to block sight lines, but are not overwhelming or imposing on the user. The height allows the dweller to "prairie dog" over the walls by standing up, should an outside distraction demand attention.

The work surface on the Seamless is big enough for a laptop with room to breathe, but still reserved enough to limit distractions. The goal is to offer just enough space to take what you need, not what you want, leaving those distractions behind.
