"The technique is hidden to a large extent, but it's very high level. This is what we wanted to reflect in the design, combined with great ease of use." The special service grip was developed by VanBerlo and distinguishesthe RESQTEC tools. Thanks to the larger secondary grip that encircles the middle of the device, a person can work from any direction. The head can be changed within seconds from a spreading function to a cutting function by changing the blades, and can turn so far that it's even possible to work around corners. Next to that, the P4 is extremely compact and cordless.

The requirements are very strict for these kinds of rescue tools, and they need to be developed for worst case scenario use. Fienieg comments, "There is considerable time pressure involved, which, of course, is always first when it comes to the safety of rescuer and victim. Some operations require a lot of power or quick action. It's not possible to regulate a conventional hydraulic system, the tool is simply on or off. The RESQTEC P4 supports tremendous progress with its electric steering, allowing the force to be dosed out in a very subtle way." Visibility and manoeuvrability are essential. This gives a rescue team full control over what they are doing, allowing them great freedom in their work. The presence of a victim is inherent in the use of these tools. "What we have mainly taken into account is that the tool doesn't make a lot of noise. The power unit of the hydraulic technology makes noise, which may seem somewhat intimidating for the victim. The RESQTEC P4 is quieter than a sewing machine," tells Fienieg.

We wanted to stay away from traditional colours of the branch, really give the brand a fresh twist and high visibility. It's striking that the tools used to save a victim often have harsh alarm colours; the RESQTEC colour radiates much more calm. This is how the design comes to represent reliability and security, down to the smallest detail." Through consistent use in both the tools and the brand communication, a strong and recognisable brand portfolio has been constructed over the years. And, with the introduction of this new generation, that portfolio will only develop further.
