Wahoo is passionate about cycling. The products we make are meant to improve your performance & your overall experience as a cyclist. Because of this, we chose to make a bike that was more like an outdoor bicycle for cycling enthusiasts & less like a piece of fitness equipment. Every design decision was guided by the underlying goal of making a "bicycle". KICKR BIKE is meant to be a high-end bike, just like what you ride outdoors, with the same functional & aesthetic appeal as the bike you ride outdoors. We strove to achieve the same personalization, fit, engineering detail, and as much style of an outdoor bike as possible.

In an effort to cater to cyclists who love bikes as much as they love riding, a great deal of effort was put into creating a bike and an experience that was as much like outdoor cycling as possible. Research was done with professional coaches to highlight the shortfalls of existing indoor stationary bikes and the existing experience of using an indoor bike. Wahoo also pitted indoor stationary bikes against outdoor bikes in an effort to find every possible way to close the gap between the two. Some of the world's best fit experts with huge databases of rider anthropometric data were called in to ensure we could fit as many types of riders as possible, right out of the box, without requiring custom builds, & without needing to remember or write down size settings whenever the bike is shared between users.

Wahoo are already experts at real ride feel, but we took it up another notch with this product. Wahoo's long-time Ph.D. in Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology worked with our mechanical, electrical and software engineers to create the most realistic-feeling pedal stroke, power delivery & resistance throttling we've ever achieved. The KICKR BIKE can perfectly simulate the same outdoor feel of any cadence, any speed, and any incline you would expect (+20% to -15% grade incline/decline) while riding outdoors. Some of this work is very complex, with hundreds of hours of data sampling & rewriting algorithms, but some of it is also very simple, like being able to grab a bottle from the down-tube bottle cage, just like you do outside. Being able to wrap the bars with your favorite brand of bar tape is also a little touch that that we hope dedicated cyclists will appreciate.
