Human Headphones are the first bandless on-ear headphones, combining revolutionary user experience, superior aesthetics, and physics-defying engineering. Intuitive user interface, fashion, and comfort merge to redefine the mobile music experience.
Human Headphones – the first bandless on-ear headphones – combine a unique mix of advanced hardware, intuitive software, and innovative design. Comfort, perfect fit, and stability create a premiere acoustic experience.
Our aim – to make a highly sophisticated product look and function naturally. Challenge number one was to design a light-weight, low-profile, iconic design that would appeal to all music-lovers on-the-go. Meeting all of these criteria and integrating the electronic components to make it technically superior required lots of experimentation and refinement.
Because finding a universal fit for the human ear is challenging, the ergonomics of Human Headphones were refined with 700 3D prints. Designing the right headphone shape and a spring tight enough to attach the device comfortably to the head for long-term wear required myriad adjustments. We knew we had found the right geometry when we successfully performed a handstand wearing the headphones – and they stayed perfectly in place.
We chose to eliminate all buttons in favor of capacitive touch technology. Our buttonless touch-control system embedded in the device's smooth external surface optimizes ease of use. With simple finger gestures, listeners can execute multiple playback controls. Beaming microphones triangulate one's voice, canceling excess noise and ensuring superior call quality. By launching the headphones' app in their travels, users can access translations in 11 languages. Or they can snap the two earphones together, creating a portable Bluetooth speaker. Custom batteries were engineered for optimum use of space and extended playtime up to nine hours of listening on a single charge.
The Human Headphones are revolutionizing the lifestyle that surrounds music listening with a perfect balance of high-performance engineering and deceptively simple aesthetics.
