Xtend Nomadic Office enables mobile, flexible and self-sufficient working in the near future.
The desire to work anywhere, anytime – propelled by the expansion of digitalisation – is fundamentally changing the working world. My concept brings together mechanisms that aid mobile and flexible work: a foldable computer screen simplifies transport; an adaptable light and privacy shield serves as a spatial partition; and a simply modified smartphone can function as a processor and storage medium – a technology that could be fully integrated in a subsequent phase. The charging of the flat battery cells is aided by silicon threads woven into the textile, which transform the energy from ambient light into electricity. Xtend Nomadic Office will enable mobile, flexible and self-sufficient work in the near future.
