PASOAP

In the entire process of personality development, perseverance is a valuable virtue that should be taught as early as possible. It allows us to face postponement, struggle, and suffering without losing our mental calm, and empowers us to come up with constructive mechanisms. PASOAP is a soap that can help children from age 5 to 7 develop perseverance and habits. It is a combo of four individually wrapped soaps filled with toys parts that can be assembled into a working toy, and each soap can be used up in 3-6 days. By washing their hands with PASOAP, children learn to break down the task of obtaining the entire toy, take the initiative to execute their plans, and enjoy the continuous sense of achievement when they move towards their goals. PASOAP is the key to perseverance and a good habit in handwashing for children.

RESEARCH

Various studies have shown that perseverance is an essential quality for success in life (Duckworth, 2016). It outperforms aptitude and raw talent as a more accurate predictor of personal achievement. Based on the research, breaking long-term assignments down can create a sense of completion and satisfaction in the hope that will encourage people to continue taking action – so they can keep enjoying that feeling of success. This is an entirely valid way of getting a person into action. Also, by breaking long-term assignments down, people have the opportunity to receive feedback. A study discovered that both positive and negative feedback are helpful in terms of making adjustments and staying committed to the task.

CORE IDEA

In the entire process of personality development, perseverance is a valuable virtue that should be taught as early as possible. It allows us to face postponement, struggle, and suffering without losing our mental calm, and empowers us to come up with constructive mechanisms. PASOAP is a soap that can help children from age 5 to 7 develop perseverance and habits. PASOAP is the key to perseverance and a good habit in handwashing for children.

PASOAP incorporates more fun into the toy itself than any other patient formation toy on the market, like puzzles, stacking toys… It is easy for children to lose patience and give up on a 200-piece puzzle. But by breaking a long-term assignment down, PASOAP helps children to see a large task as more doable and create a continuous sense of achievement that keeps encouraging children to take action - so they can keep enjoying that feeling of success. PASOAP also makes handwashing more fun and protects children from getting sick. It can help develop Hygiene and reduce disease in children.

FINAL DESIGN

PASOAP is a combo of four individually wrapped soaps filled with toys parts that can be assembled into a working toy, and each soap can be used up in 3-6 days. All parts together are about three-quarters the size of a regular bar soap and can be used up in 18 days, which is the least amount of time to develop a habit based on a study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology.

The final design also consists of an acrylic box, two cards, and four bars of soap infused with toys inside. The acrylic box is more than just a box, it can fit all the parts inside perfectly without wasting any space. It also acts as a storage box for children to store toy parts in case of losing them. In addition, it can be used as a display box for the fully assembled toy. The two cards inside are for packaging and instructions. At last, the soap is designed to be transparent to show the toys inside and make them more attractive to children.
