Cowboy is the connected electric bike for urban riders and continues to transform the bike and mobility industries — from point of sale to point of service. Its mission is to power riders to map their own paths, through mindful movement that benefits all. Cowboy is the winner of the Eurobike 2017, the Red Dot bicycle design award 2018 and the Red Dot Best of the Best award for product design in 2019 and 2021 models.
Winner of Red Dot Best of the Best 2021 product design award, the Cowboy 4 features a new powertrain with 50% more torque, a new design with 200 custom-made parts, and a brand-new Cowboy app. The C4 and the C4 ST offer an unparalleled riding experience, powering a path through the city, all while reducing user carbon footprint and promoting a healthier lifestyle.
Traditionally, e-bike design had always been poor and, in general, would be associated with older individuals (ages 55+). The idea behind Cowboy was to completely refresh the approach and make the e-bike compelling by treating it as a design object, and seduce more people to switch to e-bikes in cities. We want to remove any possible friction point for users and provide the simplest ride. No buttons, no gears, everything is intuitive and the riders just need to focus on the road and their own experience.
Cowboy's latest models feature industrial design, hardware and software engineering with quality customer service to offer a fully integrated electric bike experience. It's poised to set a new standard for e-bikes with a fully connected platform, integrated wireless phone charging, theft and crash detection, and a removable, fast-charging battery.
With the launch of the Cowboy 4, almost every component of the bike has been custom designed, with the exception of the saddle and the carbon belt, produced by best-in-class Selle Royal and Gates, respectively. From the brake cables now seamlessly integrated into the handlebars and stem, the diamond pattern of the grips mirroring the tread of the tyres, new angles of the brakes and pedals, and an eye-catching dropout at the rear wheel, every detail has been perfected for Cowboy's quintessential minimalistic look.
Exclusively available on the C4 and C4 ST is a cockpit integrated into the stem featuring a built-in Quad Lock mount to securely hold the rider's smartphone providing real-time access to essential information through the Cowboy app as they ride. Once docked, the phone will wirelessly connect and charge, directly leveraging the bike's internal battery.
The main audience is composed of urban riders looking for a better and quicker mode of transportation that is beneficial to their overall fitness as well as to the environment. Cowboy models combine sleek design and technical advancements for the smoothest ride, attracting customers interested in various forms of micro mobility to change the way they commute and view their cities.
