CAKE Makka

CAKE is a Swedish electric bike company born out of a passion for gravity sports, and on a mission to develop high-quality, sustainable performance products. CAKE wants to inspire people, contributing to speeding up the journey towards a zero-emission society, combining excitement with responsibility.
The ultimate commuter - Light, robust, powerful!

The third platform from CAKE is a lightweight yet robust electric moped, designed to hit both city streets and outback adventures while doubling as a smart configuration platform for your everyday mobile needs. With category-leading power and range, the Makka is built for the convenient commuter leading an active and modern lifestyle. With strong motor power for its size, the Makka is a solid mobility tool, beating traffic while not compromising on battery life.

Makka comes in two models, Makka range and Makka flex. The Makka flex is the powerful version, with top speeds reaching 45 km/h and a strong battery - a machine built to last. The Makka range is the long-range model, with top speeds reaching 25 km/h - a dream tool for easy and convenient commuting. Created with a compact design, the battery has integrated power outlets, allowing them to be used as off-the-grid power stations, powering work tools like phones, laptops, drills, welding machines and more. Furthermore, the battery is compact and easily removable for the rider. It's an integrated SoC indicator and a smart charging system, the battery for Makka can be easily charged in your home while you park your Makka outside. For ultimate convenience.

Thanks to electric drivetrains requiring little to no maintenance and with quality components allowing longer life cycles.

CAKE is a Swedish electric bike company born out of a passion for gravity sports, and on a mission to develop the highest performance electric two-wheelers with the mission, to inspire and contribute to accelerating towards the zero-emission society, combing excitement with responsibility.

Speaking about electricity, it's not a clean choice by automation. Extracting elements, processing material, manufacturing, transportation, and use are examples in need for electricity, and depending on the source, it might be more or less sufficient, in regards to sustainability.
CAKE mission group is active in a number of ways to accelerate and to improve initiatives to minimize footprint, in the transition from combustion to electric.

The fact that it doesn't disturb, being quiet and without polluting, the aspects of complaints are history. The tracks can be built in your own backyard, a small empty land lot, inside an old warehouse, on rooftops, or any other urban or available public or private space. CAKEs mission: to contribute to speeding up the transition towards a zero emission society, combining excitement with responsibility. Developing light, quiet and clean electric off-road performance bikes, requires a cross-scientific approach to sustainability. To promote the competence and guidance needed in terms of sustainability, in the areas of clean technology, ethical conduct, circularity and life cycle perspective, to the benefit of people and the planet, CAKE Mission Group is born. CAKE Mission Group gathers a variety of competencies to coach and lead processes at CAKE, to minimize footprint, now and in the future.

The beauty of being able to share the outdoors with respect, riding a bike without air or sound pollution is a big step forward. That said and progressively improving the cleanliness, there are of course additional dilemmas. Matters of safety and speed, sharing space or the evident destruction of wheels grinding through the sensitive ground, are other aspects where we need to take responsibility.

Speaking about electricity, it´s not a clean choice by automation. Extracting elements, processing material, manufacturing, transportation and use are examples in need of electricity and depending on the source, it might be more or less sufficient, in regards to sustainability.

CAKE Mission Group is active in a number of ways to accelerate and to improve initiatives to minimize footprint, in the transition from combustion to electric. It´s not going to happen overnight, it´s a process and the more people and organizations committed to making a difference, the sooner we will get there. In line with the CAKE mission: inspiring towards zero emission, combining excitement & responsibility, there are numerous actions being taken.

Aside from the actual product being electric, the bikes, their construction, choice and use of material, power and charging, recycling and post life aspects are all parts of the considerations.
To support the big initiatives, joining a movement that we are all obligated to, collectively moving forward, we are using the 17 global goals*, set up by UN, as a compass.

From these 17 goals, we have picked 5, that suits what we do the best and where we are likely to do the best possible impact.
Everything is not going to happen at once and we need to plan our actions in stages with perseverance, to create true change and improvements.
All CAKE initiatives have a short, mid and long term target.

Furthermore, we believe we can inspire and help the transformation through our electric bikes. The latest model Makka, is the most customer-friendly in the line, and we think this can include many people in the mission towards a zero-emission society.
