Fiona Raby is a Partner in the design partnership Dunne & Raby, established in 1994. She is Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and a Reader in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art in London. Their work has been exhibited at MOMA, the Pompidou Centre and the Science Museum in London and is in the permanent collections of MOMA, V&A, FRAC and FNAC. They have published two books: Design Noir: The Secret Life of Electronic Objects (Princeton Architectural Press) and Hertzian Tales (MIT Press).

Anthony Dunne is Professor and Head of the Design Interactions programme at the Royal College of Art in London. He is also a Partner in the design studio, Dunne & Raby. His projects with Fiona Raby use design as a medium to stimulate discussion and debate amongst designers, industry and the public about the social, cultural and ethical implications of emerging technologies. Their projects have been exhibited and published internationally and are in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Frac Ile-de-France and Fnac. He is the author of Hertzian Tales (2006) and with Fiona Raby, Design Noir (2001).

Partners at El Ultimo Grito
El Ultimo Grito (EUG) comprises London-based designers Rosario Hurtado and Roberto Feo. Founded in 1997, EUG are self-proclaimed ‘post-disciplinarians’, whose work aims to question and research the nature of human relationships with objects and culture.
They have a great interest in progressive design education, which they consider a central part of their design practice. Currently they are Professors and coordinators of the MA in Space and Communication at HEAD (Haute Ecole d’Art et Design) in Geneva. They have taught at the Royal college of Art, Goldsmiths University from 1999 and were Fellows of the Stanley Picker Gallery and Senior Design Research Fellows at Kingston University from 2006. In 2010 they founded SHOPWORK and POI as an open platform for research in design and experimental education and its publication, independent from the academic structures.

Clive van Heerden

Design Director of Vision and Probing at Electrolux Design
Clive van Heerden is the Design Director of Vision and Probing at Electrolux. Over the past 20 years he has pioneered new innovation strategies by fusing socio-cultural, design and technology research processes to explore new product genres and alternative technical solutions for several electronics companies. He set up and directed the Philips Design probe program until 2012 before setting up VHM/designfutures with Jack Mama in London. He is currently head of Product Design Lab at IED Madrid.
Clive studied political science and industrial sociology in South Africa before completing a design masters at the Royal College of Art in London. He managed Philips Design branches in London and New York and currently lives in Stockholm.

Jana Scholze is Curator of Contemporary Furniture at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London where she worked on important acquisitions and various exhibitions, including Cold War Modern. Design 1945-1970 (2008). She is regularly invited as lecturer and critique, and publishes on design history and theory internationally (including Medium Ausstellung, Transcript 2004). She is also Exhibition Review Editor for the journal Design and Culture.
