As a proud California company, the design of the Lucid Air is inspired by the natural beauty and industrial might of the Golden State.Its signature design features intersect thematically with the indoor-outdoor lifestyle pioneered in California's midcentury Case Study architecture.Colors, materials and tones draw inspiration from particular parts of the state at a specific time of day.

The Lucid Air represents a true luxury EV, designed from the ground up to break boundaries in range (500+ miles per charge) and power (up to 1,000 horsepower).Optimizing power and efficiency, Lucid Motors developed its own powertrain technology – motors, transmissions, inverters, and more – with a focus on miniaturization.Freed from the rules of traditional automotive design by its miniaturized electric powertrain, the Lucid Air completely reimagines the shape, proportions, and dimensions of the high-performance luxury sedan, both on the exterior and the interior.The result is interior spaciousness on par with traditional large luxury sedans with the exterior proportions of a mid-sized car.
