Fronius is the first power source manufacturer to harness the concentrated power of lithium-ion technology for welding applications: welcome to the AccuPocket. For the first time, welding and battery technology is brought together to allow unlimited mobile welding completely independently of the grid and without a cable in sight. Far from stopping at the internal mechanics, the external form too has been completely redesigned to meet the harsh requirements of welding environments. The new dynamic design and intelligent mix of metal and plastic combines mobility, robustness and technology.
Battery operation offers the user unlimited mobility whilst sacrificing absolutely nothing in terms of high-quality weld properties and peak performance. The AccuPocket opens up totally new application areas, particularly in assembly work. Whether welding in difficult to access locations or for quick repairs in exposed areas: the high-performance batteries deliver enough power to weld up to 16 electrodes (2.5 mm).
In hybrid mode (with AccuPocket connected to an existing mains supply), AccuPocket impresses with better weld properties than ever before in electrode applications. The integral power reserve of the batteries can quickly generate high output currents that have a marked effect on the ignition properties and stability of the arc when welding.
