The June Oven solves the problem that has challenged cooks for years – unpredictable cooking. It's a smart countertop oven that uses the latest in technology and machine learning to help people create perfect meals every time.
Priced at $599, June is designed to replace several appliances – it's a convection oven, air fryer, dehydrator, slow cooker, broiler, toaster and warming drawer all-in-one. From roasting salmon to reheating last night's lasagna to cooking a 10lb turkey, June heats up faster and cooks with more accuracy than traditional ovens.
June has over 150 chef developed, one tap cook-programs to automatically make food to users' liking, no preheat required. Using the June app, users can control the oven, watch food being cooked, and receive notifications when food is ready.
June debuted its first smart oven in 2016, priced at $1500. For the new version, the team was challenged to refine the oven with the best hardware and software from the first generation while finding efficiencies in design, sourcing and manufacturing. More than 95 percent June customers opt in to sharing feedback, with the understanding that June uses the data to work on improving the oven. Taking in this feedback along with lessons from design and engineering the first generation product, the team identified the features that people care about and use the most to create an even better product and experience – at a lower price of $599.
Examples of refinements include removing a stainless steel knob on the front of the oven in favor of a touchscreen-only interface. A weight scale in the earlier version of the oven was also removed as customer data showed this feature wasn't frequently used.
Unique Design
There is nothing like June on the market – it uses sensors and artificial intelligence to recognize, monitor and cook food to users' preferences, while the software-controlled heating and convection design delivers precise cooking results. Until traditional appliances, the June Oven is constantly getting better; frequent software updates add new cooking abilities and cook-programs based on chef development and feedback from users.
Features that make June unique:
–Carbon fiber heating elements – June uses six carbon fiber heating coils, allowing it to preheat three times faster than other ovens.
–Food Recognition –The June Oven uses an HD camera and the latest advances in AI to instantly recognize over 70 common foods and will suggest the correct automatic cook-program for you. The camera also lets you watch your food come to life in real time and share a time-lapse of your cooking with friends and family.
–Dual convection fans –June's convection fans rotate in opposite directions to evenly mix the air to eliminate cold spots and reduce cooking time.
–Precision heating–Maintains uniform temperature from corner to corner and does not fluctuate over time. Ovens are individually calibrated before shipping to achieve this. Yields better cooking results no matter what you're cooking.
–Maximum capacity–Engineered to maximize cooking space in a compact frame, June fits up to a 12"x16" pan, 10lb turkey, and 12" pizza. 1.0 ft³ capacity.
–Easy to clean –June's interior is made of durable stainless steel, so you can use all oven cleaning solutions to clean it.
User Experience
June is designed to be a helpful assistant, giving people more confidence and control by taking the guesswork out of cooking. Technology is at the heart of the product, but it doesn't overwhelm the experience of using the oven or try to overcomplicate the act of making a meal.
Almost half of all cooking done in a June uses automatic cook-programs, which makes it foolproof for anyone to use. Automatic food recognition allows a kid to pop in a frozen waffle, see it come up on the screen, and with one touch, June makes sure it will be properly toasted. To make the perfect steak, June automatically switches back and forth automatically between roast, broil and bake. As for cooking bacon, there are 64 ways to cook it in a June to ensure it's cooked perfectly to the user's liking.
For more advanced chefs, June is a tool that makes prepping meals even easier by freeing them up to work on other meal prep tasks as temperature can be remotely monitored via the June app.
Why the June Oven Matters
June's mission is to use the power of technology to make cooking perfectly easy for everyone. Designed to be a 7-in-one device, June eliminates the need to buy multiple kitchen gadgets. One of the best features of the oven is that it's the first appliance that gets better over time, not worse. Regular software updates introduce new functionality and features automatically, so a June oven is never out-of-date, making it built to last the test of time.
June's compact design makes it ideal for homes where space constraints are a concern – a big issue for urban areas in particular. Despite its smaller size relative to traditional ovens, it's still capable of cooking enough food for entire families. Its smaller cavity size and efficient heating technology mean June uses significantly less energy than a regular sized convection oven.
June is focused on bringing smart technology into the kitchen in a way that is both easy to understand and to use. It enables people to prepare better meals, faster and with confidence. June helps its customers to get great results every time – motivating them to cook more often. Most kitchen appliances aren't necessarily designed to spark joy, but June aims to delight with every meal.
