Featuring Tru-Colour technology to ensure gallery-grade illumination, these 4 decorative designs have been engineered to enhance the appearance of interior colours and details by incorporating more colours on the visible spectrum.

Project Brief

The project brief for the new collection of Brightgreen LED wall lights was to create 4 new decorative designs to complement the company's existing range of interior downlights, pendants, spot and track lights.

Extensive market research and interviews with homeowners, architects, electricians, lighting designers and retailers informed the design brief for the wall light collection.

Through consulting with industry stakeholders, the team discovered that expert architectural lighting designers were going beyond using wall lights for simple orientation lighting – using them instead for more advanced lighting techniques like creating the illusion of larger spaces by drawing eyes to the edges of rooms, or reducing glare by providing multiple light sources.

Keeping these factors in mind, the Brightgreen Design Team were given complete creative freedom to design a collection of lighting tools that would provide the flexibility and aesthetic for stakeholders to advance their designs.

Flexibility

In addition to providing ambient illumination, emphasis was placed on the ability of the product's form to cast artful shadows on its mounting surface

It was essential that the form could be easily replicated and standardised across each wall light using different lumen outputs, shapes and sizes.

Multiple prototypes were tested in order to achieve the adaptability the market was seeking. As a result, all 4 wall lights were designed in both Cube and Curve shapes with lumen output options of either 200lm or 900lm.

Allowing for unlimited updates over the years, each design in the surface-mounted wall light collection features an audio-jack mounting system – enabling users to remove the luminaire safely and reconfigure their layout over time.

The collection offers a solution for designers looking to mix and match sizes to create unique composition of shapes for artistic wall art, or a clean line of luminaires for a pared-back look.

Adjustability

Offering total adaptability, the 4 wall lights feature a protractible base, a 360° body rotation and universal gimballing - enabling users to move the luminaire freely and modify the direction and shape of the beam.

This level of adjustability means that standard electrical connection methods are no longer possible. As a result, the design incorporates a cylindrical low-voltage connector that can be rotated indefinitely while the light is turned on without affecting the output.

Optimised to provide the perfect amount of haptic feedback, each design in the collection of surface-mounted wall lights can be easily adjusted with a simple touch. Designers can direct light as they please and shape focal points of interest using the subtle illumination and artistic shadows of each design.
