DARKNESS DESIGN
A luminaire that allows kids to play with shadows in a fun and intuitive way.
Children love to play with shadows and experiment with their hands to create different figures and characters to create imaginary worlds. This project aims to create a product that's very similar to a digital projector, but still simple enough for children to play with. A digital projector is often complicated to use, with lots of different buttons and options. This projector is very easy to use, quick to set up and fun to play with.
The lamp is designed to give kids the freedom to create their own interchangeable silhouettes and attach them to the plexiglass lens to set the scene. They can also use whiteboard markets directly on the lens to create custom scenes or enhance the ones that are provided.
