The IF Platform by IncludeFitness pairs HIPAA compliant cloud software with inclusive rehabilitation equipment to lower the barriers of maintaining physical health while optimizing the delivery of care. Our functional trainer, The Access Strength, provides unprecedented versatility and ease-of-use for common and high-risk patients alike through infusing universal design with technology. Our integrated software, The IFCloud, provides profound improvements in provider efficacy and efficiency with features such as outcomes-based data collection, automated documentation and cloud collaboration. This transformative combination provides better outcomes with higher quality and lower costs for payers, providers and patients throughout the continuum of care.
Healthcare spending is unsustainable. The US spent $3.4 Trillion in 2016 representing 18% of the GDP and is projected to hit $5 Trillion, or 20% of the GDP in 2020. While costs are spread throughout the entire system, there are a variety of factors in the delivery of rehabilitation & wellness contributing to this spend:
- An aging population that is projected to represent 25% of the population- The growth of chronic diseases representing $2.5 Trillion in healthcare spending while 80% of such is behavioral driven- Fragmentation in care as little communication or collaboration is occurring between providers- Administrative inefficiencies through a dependence on manual assessment and documentation.
The IF Platform is a connected, cloud-based digital health platform designed specifically to solve these issues within rehabilitation & wellness. Through the pairing of HIPAA compliant software and inclusive rehabilitation equipment, our focus is to drive better outcomes with lower costs throughout the continuum of care.
Our software, The IFCloud, is the connective thread of our platform. It's a hardware agnostic, web-based productivity tool for providers (physicians, physical therapists, and personal trainers). Extensive libraries of exercises and protocols are available to utilize and can be customized to meet the needs of each patient. Drag and drop scheduling enables efficient program planning. When it's time to complete a protocol, providers can login to our equipment, The Access Strength, via an RFID clip and all the information of the routine is provided.
The Access Strength is an inclusive functional trainer infused with technology. Every element has been redesigned to ensure ease for use for all demographics, including seniors, wheelchair users, children, and more.It features a patented pulley configuration that enables hundreds of exercises to be performed on a single machine. It's unique combination of rotating arms and adjustable handles enable the equipment to adjust to an individual's size and reach catering to their specific needs. Spring loaded pins that tend to require significant dexterity are replaced by patented dexterity free handles that can be adjusted with a single arm and closed fist. An integrated seat with height adjustment and transfer handle is provided and weight selection has been redesigned to the rotation of a dial. This dial is serves as the portal into our software, The IFCloud.
Once logged in, details on how perform the exercise and setup the equipment are displayed. The resistance is automatically selected and reps are counted as they are completed with a range of motion specificity of .5" to qualify a complete rep. In the background, The IFCloud is passively collecting much deeper, outcomes-based metrics on each routine such as velocity, force, power, tempo, range of motion and symmetry that can be reviewed by both the provider and patient after the session.
For the patient, we this platform removes the physical and cognitive barriers often associated with strength programs. For providers, we enable deep productivity features to drive better outcomes at lower costs. One of the biggest operational challenges for providers is to maximize practitioner utilization and reimbursable activities. A key feature of the IF Platform is automated documentation. Detailed reports for each session are automatically generated with objective data leaving only the minimal details to be manually inputed by practitioners. This feature, paired with the ability to attach reports directly to EMR's, significantly streamlines documentation process and enables greater patient throughput. This combination results in meaningful revenue increases for each installation.
The data captured in the system is also far more extensive and granular that previously available. This enables the possibility of expanded treatment methodologies based on metrics such as velocity, power and force while still facilitating methods used in current practice. Once collected, the data analysis capabilities have the ability to derive deep insights to the efficacy of protocols on an individual or aggregate scale across an entire network.
The impact of the platform exponentially grows with additional installations across the continuum. In addition to enabling the sharing of data and insights between facilities, it also supports out-of-network collaboration. After discharge, patients can utilize the technology at local community facilities while providing the healthcare network details on adherence and outcomes. These features have the potential to uncover efficiencies in length of stay, patient throughout, and readmissions.
This platform transforms the way we deliver care for payers, providers and patients and can have a profound impact on getting people healthier while lowering the costs to achieve such.
