The MK-IV is an Aston Martin-inspired custom car built and currently available on a made-to-order basis. Each vehicle is designed as a one-off for the end customer. Aston Martin as a brand was chosen for it's perfect blend of style, luxury and performance. The MK IV brings to this equation the philosophical mindset of Hotrodding in both style and spirit. A perfect blend of the historically British brand and an American philosophy.
The MK-IV takes the aesthetics of the 30s and 40s and combines it with the materials and technologies of today. From the hand laid composite structure to the variety of motorized and mechanized components, the vehicle drives and handles like a modern super-car with the character of a traditionally built hotrod. From the late model drive-train to the completely redesigned 1934 Body, the MK-IV brings together the best aspects of style, performance, safety and attitude. The level of scrutiny and rigorous attention to detail insures you will be able to enjoy this car in every day driving conditions all over the world. The interior is competed with a combination of pieces from the donor vehicle along with a host of custom built pieces to compliment the unique look of the exterior. All creature comforts and luxury are maintained to provide a comfortable driving environment. The heart of the MK-IV is either the 6.0L V12 from the DB9 or the 4.3L V8 from the Vantage with either a manual or automatic transmission. Both engines have proven to be capable performance power-plants and have a history of proven reliability. The concept of the MK-IV requires a running donor vehicle which may in some cases be a salvage or damaged vehicle. The engine, transmission, running gear, electronics, and other components are swapped into the MK-IV chassis and built to perform to the same caliber as the stock Aston Martin vehicles. On the R1 and Formula variants the rear mounted transmission is then coupled with a 350amp electric motor.
