Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg is a designer, artist and writer. Seeking new roles for design, Daisy is developing experimental design approaches to help us imagine alternative ideals around technology. Through the design of objects, workshops, and writing and curating, her practice investigates both aesthetic and ethical futures for design. Daisy's collaborators include scientists, engineers, artists, designers, social scientists, galleries and industry around the world.
She began a PhD by practice, The Dream of Better, exploring the idea of a 'better' future, at the Royal College of Art in London, in 2013. As Design Fellow on Synthetic Aesthetics (Stanford University/University of Edinburgh, 2010-2013), Daisy curated an international research project, developing novel modes of collaboration and critical discourse between synthetic biology, art and design. Daisy is lead author onSynthetic Aesthetics: Investigating Synthetic Biology's Designs on Nature (MIT Press, March 2014). She led the curatorial team for Grow Your Own - Life After Nature, a flagship exhibition about synthetic biology at Science Gallery, Dublin (October 2013 - January 2014).
Daisy studied architecture at the University of Cambridge, design at Harvard University and Design Interactions MA at the Royal College of Art. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including MoMA New York, London's Design Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Israel Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo and the National Museum of China. Daisy publishes, teaches and lectures internationally: talks include TEDGlobal, PopTech and Design Indaba; she guest-edited Current Opinion in Chemical Biology (December 2012). In 2011, her collaborative work E. chromi was nominated for Designs of The Year and the Index Awards and was collected by the new Museo Delle Scienze in Trento. Daisy won the 2011 World Technology Award for Design and received the first London Design Medal for Emerging Talent in 2012. Daisy leads Studio Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg Ltd.
Roshi Givechi is a Partner and Executive Design Director at IDEO, a global design consulting firm. Having called many of IDEO's US and Asia offices home, Roshi channels her global exposure to amplify creativity and culture – cultivating opportunities for designers, clients, and an extended creative network to inspire and challenge each other in service of making a difference in the world. This exposure also means she spots patterns and edges across region as well as industry, enabling her to help shape good design. As a designer inspired by choreography, Roshi loves dissecting the many parts that come together to make a greater whole—whether designing for cities, products, services, or shaping stories themselves. Her years at IDEO have given her an intimate view of the changing nature of design’s role, and what it means to envision and define products and systems that bring disproportionate impact to the world. Roshi’s clients include Anheuser-Busch InBev, Bank of America, the Kaufman Foundation, Medtronic, NASA, Nokia, Ritz-Carlton, Steelcase, Timberland, and YouTube.
In her role at IDEO, Roshi regularly teaches design thinking through facilitated innovation workshops within organizations. She has also taught cross-disciplinary design at the California College of Arts and, most recently, Human Values in Design at Stanford In New York. She is a frequent collaborator of the Sundance Institute Theater Program, helping to host public conversations on topics that inform our daily lives through a forum coined Creative Tensions (creativetensions.com). Roshi holds an MFA from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, a BS from University of California, Davis, and in January 2009, was profiled in I.D Magazine’s “I.D. 40” list as one of 40 leading design innovators. She’s keen to figure out what to show for it in 2049...
Rebecca is the Director of Design for Goesling Group. She works at the intersection of forecasting, branding, and color material finish design to create visions for independent startups to Fortune 500 companies. Her experience spans from home appliances to activewear and decor to consumer electronics. In addition to her applied practice, she produces illustrations for culinary, fashion, and furnishing clients. She holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where she cultivated skills in research, artistic development, and technical application.
Éva Goicochea spent her early career as a legislative aide in healthcare then 10+ years in ecommerce and digital strategy working with Squarespace, adidas, and Everlane. She co-founded her first company, Tinker Watches, in 2015. Converging her passion for healthcare and brand, she launched maude, an inclusive modern sexual wellness company in 2018. To-date, she's one of only 20 Latinx women to raise over $4 million and was voted Entrepreneur's 2019 100 Most Powerful Women, WWD's 60 Power Players in Healthy and Beauty, and Fast Company's 2021 Next 1000. In 2020, she joined the board of Peer Health Exchange.
Sarah is a leading expert in emerging issues and trends in privacy, security and technology. She has a growing, well founded reputation for her honest commitment to changing the way personal data is managed. Sarah recently spoke to a Parliamentary Select Committee, challenging ideas about data sharing and accountability within machine learning.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Bryony Gomez-Palacio is co-founder of UnderConsideration, a graphic design firm generating its own projects, initiatives, and content while taking on limited client work. Over the last two decades Bryony has managed the behind-the-scenes of various blogs and design sites co-created with her husband and partner Armin Vit, including Brand New which is devoted to opinions on corporate and brand identity work.
In 2010 the Brand New Conference, a two-day event on corporate and brand identity with some of today’s most active and influential practitioners from around the world, was created. In 2018, they conceived First Round, a one-day showcase of original presentations made to clients showing initial design explorations for logo, identity, and branding projects.
When not hand-making materials for the Brand New Conference, organizing events, or working on client work Bryony can be found heading out of town where she loves to meet new people while conducting workshops, judging competitions, lecturing on all things design, or coaching others on all aspects of life and work.
Maria is a Senior Communications Designer at Slack. She is an award winning designer and illustrator with experience working at startups and advertising agencies. Her work has been featured in Print Magazine, Lurzer’s Archive, Interface Lovers and has won a D&AD Impact Award, Gold Effie, Silver Addy, and more. She has a diverse skill set ranging from web and app development, UI, TV, print, social, illustration, art direction and brand identity design.
A design leader focused on health care, food, conservation, social impact and education, Sara believes design can help us shift our behaviors for good. She leads design challenges with empathy and a systems-based approach.
Sara has spent over two decades designing for clients such as Kaiser Permanente, National Head Start Association, Ford Foundation, Environmental Defense Fund and Disney. In her early career, she led the design of a content management system for nonprofits and foundations. She's been part of leadership teams at Big Tomorrow, frog and most recently OpenTable, overseeing a team of 30+ researchers, writers, product and brand designers.
Romello is a Computational Designer located in Washington DC. He believes that computers can make us more creative and that tool building can be a labor of love. In the past, he’s worked with software in various industries from media to aerospace and politics. Currently, he works on the Polaris team at Shopify and teaches in the Graphic Design department at MICA.
Nu Goteh is a multi-disciplinary creative & designer who works in audio, visual, and written mediums. He is the co-founder of the strategy and design studio, Room for Magic, and co-founder and creative director of partner publication, Deem Journal. Nu’s practice is informed by his love for counter/subculture(s), his background as a Liberian-born refugee, and a lifelong dedication to building platforms that enable communities to engage in shared experiences.

Prior to SapientRazorfish, Eric was Director of Brand Experience for Hot Studio in San Francisco before moving to New York to open its SoHo office. Eventually acquired by Facebook, Hot's user-centered design approach created a multitude of collaborative relationships with clients like Google, Gilt Groupe, eBay and Ancestry.com.
Eric's work has earned him two ADDYs and Webby Honorees, and has appeared in Communication Arts, AIGA's annual Year in Design, PRINT Magazine and HOW Magazine. Before design, he studied public policy and worked in various levels of government and for several campaigns and political organizations.
