BOKET is a wearable water drinking device designed for people living with MND (Motor Neurone Disease). People with this disease suffer from the loss of strength in their muscles and many of them can't use their arms or legs. And in terms of drinking, they are unable to grab or even hold a bottle. Besides, users are facing a choking threat when they drink liquid. BOKET aims at enabling users to drink water safely and independently. With BOKET, through only a small movement of their chin, they can reach the straw and enjoy the water themselves, and this will undoubtedly help build up their confience in living a better live. BOKET also explores a decent way for users to drink.
The main feature of BOKET is its rotative lid and the straw inside, it can rotate 90°at most and the user can touch the handle with their chin to drive the lid and rotate the straw out. There is a water volume control system built within the straw which divided the straw into 3 parts, and it's used to control the water amount of each sip by the user to prevent them from drinking too much at a time and choking. And when the bottle is not in use, the lid can be fixed with the bottle by a U-shaped cover, so the carer of the user can carry the bottle with their fingers using the handles of the bottle.
