Scootility - the utility scooter

Scootility is a utility scooter for effortless urban delivery. A compact, agile cargo vehicle that enables delivery riders and service providers to reach their customers quickly and easily, avoiding the delays suffered when using other vehicles. Scootility's three main USP's: CARGO. COMPACT. COMFORT.

CARGO - The cargo box provides ample capacity (3 to 4 times what fits in a typical carry-on suitcase). Way more than a delivery backpack, and of course far more comfortable and ergonomic. And the cargo box is weatherproof and locks securely. Plus, you can swap it out and quickly replace with a loaded box to maximize service uptime. Operators who need higher capacity can use customized cargo boxes, or use the utility scooter in flatbed mode.

COMPACT - For a vehicle with that much cargo capacity, the utility scooter is remarkably compact—the same length as a typical bike. And its footprint is narrower than the handlebars on a typical bike. So it fits in spaces bulkier micromobility vehicles can't, nimbly threading through congestion. And it's quick and easy to find parking right at your destination. As a bonus, the turning radius is very small for maximum ease in finding parking in crowded locations. All that means the utility scooter navigates you past the two prime sources of delay in reaching urban destinations.

COMFORT - It's hard enough to find a micromobility vehicle that performs in both areas discussed above. But the tougher challenge is to design a vehicle that's strong on the cargo and compactness fronts while also offering a great ride. For example, some bikes carry their cargo high off the ground as a way to keep a reasonably compact form. But if you've ever handled one of these when heavily loaded, you know a high centre of mass is hard to handle. In contrast, Scootility keeps the centre of mass very low. That, in combination with full suspension, much larger tires than on typical scooters, makes the utility scooter easy to control. That's critical for comfort and safety.

Product details

Scootility is a new professional tool for delivery riders, designed as such.

The foundation of the scooter is a powdercoated aluminum tubular frame, creating a robust yet light structure. The swappable cargo box nicely sits inside the frame loop.

The cargobox is rotomolded polyethylene, creating an indestructible, double-walled and insulated 140 liter cargo volume that is watertight and lockable.

The two swappable batteries (allowing for maximum up-time) are placed under the footboard. This setup creates a very low center of gravity, that together with the large wheels and full suspension results in a very stable ride.

Scootility can also be configured as a flatbed version, for great cargo flexibility or to create custom cargo volumes for specific loads.

For steering, the scooter uses cable steering rather than linkage steering. This solution creates better ground clearance (no linkage bar) and more direct steering behavior.

On the rider side, Scootility has a comfortable upper leg rest for longer rides. Behind this leg rest, a storage compartment can be found, for delivery documentation and rider's personal items.

For great visibility and rider safety, Scootility has several light features both to illuminate the road and to be seen.

Scootility Inc. is currently looking for funding to bring the utility scooter to market. Expected market launch is expected in 2025.
