Newly SK acquired, EverCharge, approached Enlisted to create new direct-to-consumer product. For their entry into the home and D2C retail space, they sought a cost-down version of their successful commercial electric vehicle charging station. The creative brief firmly stated, "we do not want another white box."
During the project, the client opted to also refresh the EverCharge brand visual identity system to support their strategic pivot from B2B into the D2C retail space. Enlisted rose to the occasion developing an elevated consumer facing brand and website redesign.
Enlisted Industrial Design & Experience Design teams immersed themselves into electric vehicle charging and electric vehicle consumer habits. With humor and grit, the team designed an elegant architecturally mindful charging station that is unlike anything else in the market.
EverCharge will electrify new customers with modular mounting, customized to a user's space, and intuitively elegant lighting-based user interface without a screen. Our team enjoyed exploring ambient light as a design feature and envisioning this across a multitude of single family home types and sizes.
The Visual Design team created a modern consumer facing brand identity supported by a playful illustration style with a burst of neon to take this SF Bay Area-based electric vehicle charging brand to the next level. The new brand was also expressed through revamped website design.
