CLIP

CLIP is the world's first e-bike-upgrade tech that is ready to go out-of-the-box and needs no tools or modifications for installation. CLIP is compatible with almost all Commuter, Hybrid, Road and even Shared bikes.

CLIP's mission is to democratize e-bike tech by creating the world's most affordable electric mobility platform.

Half of all Urban commutes are between 3 to 6 miles and remain a major contributor to our climate crisis. If even half of these trips were made by bicycle, the world could save 300 million tonnes of CO2 per year, and $25 trillion in cumulative transport expenses by 2050.

CLIP is solving for stemming the majority of tailpipe emissions from the typical 3 to 6 mile urban commutes by making it convenient to switch to bicycles from cars.

We designed CLIP for the average white-collar and blue-collar worker / commuter who typically commute a maximum distance of up to 6-8 miles one way every day but would like to make the switch over from cars and mass-transit because it's more affordable, cleaner and healthier. Therefore CLIP is designed to help them make that switch with the least amount of onboarding friction by focusing on two key UX goals: maximum compatibility and full plug&play. CLIP comes ready to go right out of the box, you don't need any tools to attach it and you don't need to modify your bike to make it work.

One can use CLIP on a basic beat-up bicycle to go to work without arriving all sweaty and simply detach it to take it with me to my desk to recharge. This is why CLIP is designed to sit in the front. This enables it to work on commuter bikes where mud-guards are necessary, rear racks to stow your bag, attach a child-seat to drop your kid to school on the way to work and even use it on regular shared bikes in case you're traveling to a new city for a few days.

CLIP is designed with regenerative braking which can be used while going downhill to store the braking energy back into the battery to optimize the battery-size and its lithium footprint per device.
