GUAN.NACT-a cardboard tube construction toy

GUAN.NECT is a creative toy made by combining cardboard pieces to form various shapes. It can be disassembled and recycled into different materials, replacing short-lived plastic toys.

Most children's toys only come in a single form. The toys need to be discarded when children grow up. Parents often encounter problems while making toys from waste materials. GUAN.NECT attempts to use open-source components to connect existing paper tubes and create new possibilities between self-made and ready-made toys. New building blocks develop based on different carriers. Based on research on suitable games for different ages, four set initial component designs are conceived as a reference.
