STOP is a doorstop made with recycled shoe soles. Unlike your typical doorstop, a cone can wedge from any side. 'STOP' is an innovative doorstop produced for the Finnish Brand Pidät by a shoe sole maker. We had an 'aha' moment when it occurred to us that shoe soles are durable, grippy and slightly flexible in just the way a doorstop needs to be.

STOP is a simple product made from recycled materials. The round wedge allows it to be placed in any direction. The stiff polyester rope makes it easy to pick up and to hang from a doorknob when not in use. The pleasing form and durable materials make this humble object a helpful addition to the home.

Many small thoughtful details went in to the design form the angle of the cone, the shape of the wholes to accommodate the rope and knots to the formulation of the rubber and quality of the rope handle.

The synthetic rubber body is 60% recycled shoe soles and polyester rope is 100% upcycled post-consumer waste plastic drinking bottles, and colored using water-free dying process.

Certifications. Synthetic rubber and polyester rope materials are certified by Global Recycled Standard 4.0 Materials pass REACH and California Prop 65 testing.
