For the routes where traditional hardshell luggage wasn't the perfect travel essential, the brand's design team set out to create a versatile and functional line of products that catered to any and all types of outdoor travel e, no matter how big or small the adventure.
In response to this need in the market, Away launched F.A.R—For All Routes in June 2022 – a line of outdoor-focused essentials designed to support their community's new travel behaviors. As with any new product from the brand, Away's design process for F.A.R began with premium materials. To ensure that durability and functionality remained at the forefront, Away's design team carefully sourced and selected materials such as recycled polyester that could withstand the most extreme types of weather conditions. Recycled and responsibly-sourced raw materials are utilized throughout the collection, with all bags constructed in 100% recycled, TPU-coated, unlined, lightweight, water-resistant polyester with high tensile strength and accessories constructed in 100% recycled, lightweight, water-resistant nylon ripstop. Zippers, mesh, and webbing are also made from 100% recycled materials. Additionally, organization and versatility remained top-of-mind to reinforce that each piece would remain functional while being lightweight and durable. To support every adventurer's unique needs and journeys, products within the F.A.R collection offer multiple ways of carrying and hands-free optionality through trolley sleeves and convertible and adjustable straps for maximum versatility.
