When traveling worldwide to discover new cities, many people bring back keepsakes such as postcards, spoons, and mugs to remember their experiences. There are others, who instead, paint their experiences in books. The Watercolor Travel Case was created to give an elegant tool for the wanderlust painter. Equipped with all the tools needed to create a beautiful masterpiece, all that is required is a drop of water and you're ready to paint a memory. The primary goal was to create a case that would be effortless to use, simple to put away, and designed for comfort.
To use the case, all that is needed is to take the box apart and reveal three mini brushes and a painting chamber covered by an additional cover. With a splash of water, you are ready to start painting. Cleaning up requires dumping out the water, closing the paint storage, and the box itself. The case has embedded magnets in the wood that make it simple to close. Three paint brushes are exposed at the side of the box when closed so that the user is fully aware if they are missing a brush. Inspired by the traditional molcajete seen in Central America, the legs are designed to be short, tapered, and create a rounded bottom. This design helps the user place the case on their thigh and reduce wobbling while in a seated position. The Watercolor Travel Case was created to be easy, fast, and elegant to use for those painting the world. J Cordova Creations will be making the first 100 cases in-house and will be numbered as a special edition set.
