Spatium is a streaming experience system that has three products.
Spatium Space - a wall-mounted device to track streamer and room layout. Spatium Tag - a bundle of sticker tag devices, and Spatium Lens - an AR lens that helps streamers to interact with their audience.
Streamers can create and display a whole new customizable scene as they desire within their room to the viewers through Spatium Space. Spatium Tag allows streamers to tag out any of the real-life objects and transform them into intractable digital items like weapons, shields, or anything they want. By wearing Spatium Lens, they can see the environment they build within the Spatium system and interact with it with a more immersive experience. Moreover, viewers can also add items they want to the scene to stay interactive with the streamer.
Overall, Spatium delivers a more engaging streaming experience to both streamers and viewers.
How can we enhance the streaming experience beyond a mere screen-to-screen interaction?
After conducting several interviews with professional streamers and gamers, we observed that they all have a unique way of making their streaming rooms a part of their identity and brand. Based on this premise, we developed Spatium, a streaming system that allows streamers to express their personalities, engage more with their audience, and foster a better and closer community.
Spatium comprises a set of streaming accessories that offer an engaging and immersive experience for both streamers and viewers. To start, streamers install Spatium Space in their room, which translates their physical streaming room into an editable 3D room while tracking their movement. This digital room allows them to create their unique streaming world based on the physical landscape of their room, making it safe and real-world responsive.
During the stream, the streamer wears the Spatium Lens, which has a small Augmented reality screen showcasing the digital streaming world and stream information like viewer count, interactions, and stream status. With the Spatium Lens, the streamer can play in their digital world, while the audience can contribute to the room by sending items and changing the environment. This interaction allows the streamer to be more immersed and the audience more willing to engage.
To make the experience more immersive, streamers can use the Spatium Tag, which can stick to any real-world object and track its movement using its gyro sensor. The object can be labeled as any digital asset similar to its shape, providing a sense of physical feedback during the stream for the streamer and a more immersive experience for the audience. For instance, the streamer can label their water bottle as a sword and wave it around during the stream.
Spatium fosters innovation, economic growth, and entertainment. It enhances mental health and well-being by providing a means of escapism, relaxation, and a sense of community. Spatium encourages creativity and innovation in the streaming industry, leading to the development of new and exciting content. It can also create new job opportunities and industries as the demand for more engaging and immersive streaming experiences increases. Finally, Spatium promotes collaboration and community-building between streamers and viewers, ultimately fostering positive social interactions and relationships.
