Free Palestine!

The unfolding genocide in Gaza has led to devastating losses, claiming 27,000 lives since October 7th, with half of the victims being children. The global indifference driven by financial interests, as we witness this unfold on our screens, is disheartening and unacceptable. This tragedy is deeply rooted in the longstanding oppression of Palestine by the Zionist government of Israel.

Originally conceived as a poster to express solidarity, raise awareness, and support the people of Palestine, it has evolved into its own identity. This identity allows flexibility for anyone to create their own messaging and poster designs.

Motivated by a sense of helplessness, I channeled my creative energy into action. Initially creating a poster to express solidarity with Palestine, I unintentionally developed a versatile brand identity system inspired by the intricate designs of Palestinian embroidery (tatreez). This system, incorporating symbols reflecting Palestine's beauty, is now accessible for all to use. It empowers individuals to craft their own messages and designs, available for demonstrations, window displays, or distribution. Notably, my work was utilized by students at Cambridge University, projected onto the university building in protest of the institution's stance on the genocide.

The project continues to evolve, most recently with my Palestinian Hero's Instagram series highlighting those on the ground in Gaza, revealing the truth about what is happening to them, their land, and heritage to the world. Pins and other items to sell to raise money are also in the works.

I collaborated with a local screen printer to produce posters for sale, with all profits going to humanitarian organizations providing ground support for the people of Gaza.
