Pablo Juncadella was born in Barcelona in 1977 and graduated with honors at Eina, University School of Design and Art (Barcelona) in 1999. He worked at Grafica and Pentagram London before founding Mucho (together with his partner Marc Catala). During his first 3 years of Mucho he combined running the studio with being the joint creative direction of the UK newspaper, The Observer. Today Mucho incorporates the original independent studio mentality with a global approach to design.Pablo's approach to design is focused on simplicity, wit and creative problem solving together with an interest in Typographic expression.He is a teacher at Eina, University School of Design and Art, and director of the Masters degree in Graphic Design and Communication program at ELISAVA, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering. He is also Co-author of ôNo somas Hormigasö a book discussing positive views on the world and its consumption new habits.
Steven Harrington is a Los Angeles–based designer and cofounder of design firm, National Forest. Steven is best known for his bright, iconic work that encourages a two-way conversation between the artist and viewer. Embracing a multimedia approach, Harrington’s portfolio includes large-scale installations, limited-edition books, product designs, graphic design, illustration, fine art and sculptures. Alongside his commercial work, Harrington has exhibited artwork in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Barcelona, Tokyo, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Brussels, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, Montreal, Melbourne, and Dallas. Recent work examples include an installation at the MIMA Museum in Brussels, a product collection for Nike, A category launch
for BAPE, and a permanent outdoor sculpture for Loft 1 Korea.
Ongoing sample clients include: Apple, Google, Hypebeast, Moleskine, Nike, International Olympics Committee & Bape.
Shashank Mehta is a principal faculty of Industrial Design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Currently, he is the Activity Chairperson of the Institute’s Professional Education Programme.
Over the last five and half years, Shashank also served as the project head of the Design Clinic Scheme for MSMEs, a unique and ambitious design intervention scheme for the country’s large MSME sector. Supported by the Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India, the scheme reached out to over 200 MSME clusters through organization of Design Sensitization Seminars, Design Awareness Programmes and Design Projects.
Over the years Shashank has taught at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, spanning various design disciplines. Shashank has spearheaded the introduction of new course modules 'Design Process', ‘Indigenous Innovations’, ‘Service Design’, ‘Design Audit’, and ‘Introduction to Experience Design’, that are in sync with the rapidly changing demands and aspirations of the industry and economy in general. He also anchored and conducted several workshops on these topics for the participants from various sectors of industries. In 2007, he developed the vision report and the curriculum for the four year undergraduate programme in Product Design. Shashank also developed curriculum for the Postgraduate Programme in Product Design Engineering.
Pradyumna Vyas acquired a Masters in Industrial Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. In June 2010, Vyas was conferred with an honorary Master of Arts degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, United Kingdom in recognition of his contributions to design education and design promotion. Vyas has more than 30 years of professional and teaching experience in different spheres of design. Since the last 25 years, he has been associated with the National Institute of Design (NID) as a faculty in the Industrial Design discipline. In April 2009, he was appointed as the Director of the National Institute of Design.
Prior to joining NID, Vyas acquired three years overseas experience at the Kilkenny Design Centre, Republic of Ireland.
In July 2011, Vyas was given the award for his outstanding contribution to design education at the second edition of Asia’s Best B School Award that was held at Singapore. Vyas was invited as the jury member for the special awards screening panel at Good Design Award (G-Mark) by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, Japan consequently in 2012, 2013 and 2014.He has been at the helm of design promotion events in India and has represented NID in various international and national events. He was elected as an ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) Executive Board Member for 2009–11.
In pursuance of the National Design Policy approved by the Cabinet in February 2007, an India Design Council was constituted in March 2009 and Mr Vyas has been nominated as its Member Secretary by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. In July 2015, World Education Congress, 2015 conferred the award for Outstanding Contribution to Education to Mr. Vyas.
J. Paul is Service Designer & Speculative Designer, and leads Neeley Worldwide where he helps organizations explores the social, cultural, economic, and ethical implications of emerging technologies, designing speculative futures that help engage with possibility as a way of reframing current state opportunities. Recent projects have focused on happiness, healthcare and wellbeing, sleep, self quantification, future mobility, AI, synthetic biology, closed loop fashion, homelessness prevention, and issues of complexity and computational irreducibility in design and business.
J. Paul has worked professionally at Mayo Clinic’s Center for Innovation as Service Designer & Researcher focusing on the healthcare experience and delivery, at Teton Radiology as Service Design Manager realizing innovative medical imaging solutions, and at Unilever in Consumer & Market Insights on brand development.
J. Paul is a tutor on the Service Design course at the Royal College of Art, and has guest lectured at Imperial College: Computer Science, RCA: Design Interactions, NYU: ITP, Köln International School of Design, RISD, and SVA: Design for Social Innovation. J. Paul holds an MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art where he studied with Tony Dunne & Fiona Raby, and is a graduate of Northwestern University where he studied Communications Studies with a concentration in Economics.
Originally from Chicago, Indya McGuffin is a designer, storyteller, and creative strategist currently based in Oakland, California. Indya has dedicated her career to empowering Black creatives, entrepreneurs, and those envisioning more equitable futures through design.
Inspired by her self-designed major at Stanford University, she co-founded PURSUIT Design, a studio that leveraged visual storytelling and creative strategy to help people understand themselves and others. Indya has since returned to Stanford to teach "Print on Purpose," a design course investigating how social justice is imprinted in our local, national, and global consciousness.
In her current role as a Design Operations Lead at Netflix, Indya works with the Design Systems team, ensuring that their work effectively supports the company's creative vision.
When Indya isn't designing, she is competing with her friends to spot music samples, attempting to replicate her mom's recipes, and exploring the spaces around her on foot.
Kim is a seasoned design leader and has worked at companies like The New York Times, Etsy, and Dropbox. She brings a unique blend of passion and strategic thinking to create industry-defining experiences. As part of the XD leadership team at Netflix, she collaborates with a stunning team of designers to entertain the world.
Erik is an Industrial Design Manager at NewDealDesign. Hands-on and fully committed to the craft, Erik strives to push design excellence through all phases of the process. Erik has worked on everything from wearables to autonomous vehicles, building relationships with both small startups and Fortune 500 companies. Notable works include Fitbit (Alta, Blaze, Charge2, Flex2), Helm Personal Server, Postmates Serve Autonomous Delivery Robot, and Solo Gelato.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Erik moved to San Francisco in 2012 after spending several years in the medical industry at Keytech inc. When not at work, he can often be found on two wheels.

Formerly with Facebook, Samsung, Monohm, Sony & PlayStation, Theranos and Apple, Ana is currently a General Manager & Partner leading product design, human research, design engineering for AI + Research, Search & Ads across Microsoft.

As SVP of Design and User Experience at HTC, Scott led the team that launched several acclaimed phones including the Evo, Incredible, and HTC One M7 and M8. Before that Scott was a principal at One + Co, an award-winning lifestyle design firm, which was acquired by HTC in 2008.
Luca Nichetto was born in 1976 in Venice. He studied at the city’s Istituto statale d’arte, before undertaking a degree in industrial design at the Università Iuav di Venezia, from which he graduated in 1998. In 1999, Nichetto began his professional career with Murano-based glass maker Salviati, later becoming a product designer and consultant for lighting company Foscarini. In 2006, he founded his eponymous practice in Venice. In 2011 he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, to open a second studio and he continues to live in and work from this city. Over the course of his career, Nichetto has served as art director for many international design brands and he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the design industry.
Noah is a designer and the Sustainability Lead in Nike’s Innovation Kitchen. He collaborates with a diverse group of designers and innovators to blend sustainable materials, technologies and ideas into all of Nike’s advanced innovation efforts. He comes from a family of teachers, hippies and architects and feels most at home staring at the sea in a heavy fog.
Over the past fifteen years or so he has created products with Herman Miller, iRobot and Samsung among others.
Most recently, Noah created the Nike Space Hippie concept and together with a small group of renegade designers produced a line of shoes made almost entirely from trash. Embodying the design philosophy of progress over perfection, it was the next, radical step towards responsible product at Nike.
When not trying to reinvent shoe manufacturing, Noah creates practical problems by sailing wooden boats with his family in the cold waters around Portland, OR.
Charlotte is a Footwear Designer at Nike WHQ in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and Master of Science in Integrated Design, Business and Technology from USC ’s Iovine and Young Academy. Her work is imbued with a strong aesthetic sensibility and a heightened sense of how people emotionally connect with a product.
