Mr. Tago graduated from the Class-II Design Management program of Tokyo Zokei University.He was engaged in the design development of various home electrical appliances and information technology devices at Toshiba Design Center Corporation. Following a career at Toshiba, he served as design management director at REALFLEET Co., Ltd. Subsequently, he launched MTDO in 2008 to try and open up new areas up until now. He is currently engaged in design, direction and management throughout the entire process from concept creation to production in a wide range of industries.He is also the recipient of many awards: iF Product Design Award 2013 (GOLD), reddot Design Award Best of the Best 2013 and Design for Asia Award 2013 Grand Awardùjust to name a few.
Evelio Mattos is a Creative Director of packaging and the host of Package Design Unboxd, he also hosts the Packaging Podcast, and is the Former Editor in Chief of The Dieline packaging blog. Evelio was named “One of the 200 Best Packaging Designers” by Lurzer’s Archive, and Graphic Design USA’s “People toWatch” his most recent work for Walpole UK in partnership with James Cropper and Intl. Direct Packaging was documented to illuminate his thesis that sustainable packaging can be fashion forward and not granola. Clients include Sonos, Michael Kors, Birkenstock, and start-ups like United Sodas of America.
Derrick Lin founded Packaging of the World in 2008 and has led the website to become one of the most prominent packaging design portals in the world. He is also the co-founder and Art Director of Mojo Red, a boutique creative company in Singapore.
Packaging of the World has grown to become the daily inspiration website for designers from all around the world by publishing some of the most interesting and creative projects from large global agencies to students. The audience includes packaging designers, graphic designers, advertising agencies, students, manufacturers and suppliers, garnering over a million impressions every month. Through the website’s business directory, agencies and suppliers can now easily link up and create business opportunities.
Today, Derrick Lin is always thinking of new innovative ideas to improve the packaging community as a whole. He is obsessed with, and passionate about, great packaging design.
Johanna is CEO at Pond Design, a Stockholm School of Economics alumni and former Bocconi University student. She’s received several international awards over the last few years such as gold and silver in Pentawards as well as wins in the Dieline and D&AD awards.
With professional experience in architecture, marketing and advertising, before her career started at Pond Design some twelve years ago, Johanna has developed a holistic approach in her work. She has the ability to look at packaging design and brand strategy from both a business perspective as well as the creative sides of it – working hands on when developing Pond’s award winning designs. Johanna’s portfolio includes iconic local brands and global heavy weights such as Absolut Vodka, Jameson Whiskey, Unilever, Barilla and Eckes-Granini – all whom she’s delivered international packaging, innovation and strategy to, which has contributed into making Pond Design one of Sweden’s most successful design agencies over the last decade.
Somchana Kangwarnjit graduated from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang with a degree in industrial design.
In 2009, he founded Prompt Design, helping his clients to build brands and businesses by delivering new experiences in strategies and design executions. Prompt Design’s clients include Nestlé, CP, Singha Corp, Lotte, Glico, FrieslandCampina, Cargill, Boots, etc.
He is regularly invited to be a committee or jury member for design competitions and often serves as a guest columnist and professor for many publishers and top universities.

Chi-An is a Creative Director and Co-founder of Rice Creative, a Vietnam based brand consultancy. As a true multicultural individual, with an Italian father and French-Vietnamese mother, Chi-An speaks 4 languages and has lived in 5 countries including a major stint of 10 years in the UK. Wanting to get back to his Vietnamese roots, he made the move back to the country where he spent the early years of his childhood. Chi-An worked at Lowe Vietnam and helped them set up the branding department. After a few years in Advertising he felt it was time to make a move back to Branding & Design and co-founded Rice Creative in 2011. Having won multiple international awards with Rice, such as Red Dot, Pentawards, A’Design, Graphis, The Dieline, and Type Directors Club to name a few, Chi-An was invited to take part in the world's most renowned creative awards in London, D&AD. He sat as part of the Branding Jury together with the creative directors of Apple & Moving Brands, judging some of the best work the world had to offer.
Gail Anderson is an NYC-based designer, educator, and writer. She is Chair of BFA Design and BFA Advertising at the School of Visual Arts and the Creative Director at Visual Arts Press. Anderson has served as senior art director at Rolling Stone, creative director of design at SpotCo, and as a designer at The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine and Vintage Books. She has taught at SVA for thirty years and has coauthored 15 books on design, typography, and illustration with the fabulous Steven Heller. Anderson serves on the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee for the US Postal Service and the advisory boards of Poster House and The One Club for Creativity. She is an AIGA Medalist and the 2018 recipient of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Lifetime Achievement Award for Design. Her work is represented in the Library of Congress’s permanent collections, the Milton Glaser Design Archives, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
As Director of Packaging Experience & Visual Design, Michelle is responsible for leading a world-class team of industrial and visual designers that crafts premium, sustainable packaging experiences. Michelle is a mom of three and often thinks about the world she will leave behind. She is passionate about making sustainability progress for Sonos’ packaging.
Michelle led and directed efforts for our latest packaging design system updates, which launched with Sonos Roam. Prior to Sonos, she designed visual identity systems for packaging on the VIBE team at Dell in Austin, Texas. Michelle embraced everything she could learn at Dell and was inspired by the design team she was a part of. Prior to Dell, Michelle built & led an in-house design team for a sunglasses company, which is now part of Foster Grant.
Michelle graduated from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Art & Design and is currently a Packaging Advisory Board member, Industrial Technology & Packaging at Cal Poly.
Cristie Stevens is a Los Angeles based designer, art director and editor of Studio A/C; a curated online platform showcasing the world's most beautiful branding, print, and packaging design. Cristie also heads up Alternating Current; a design studio specializing in creating and elevating brands through strategically-led visual identity, packaging, and digital design.
Founder and Partner of Studio Korjan, Ahmedabad, Dinesh is one of the pioneers of Product Design practice in India. He complements his practice with active engagement in academics and teaches at many leading design schools including Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar, National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, Srishti School of Art Design & Technology, Bangalore, IICD. Jaipur, School of Interior Design, CEPT University, Ahmedabad, Pearl Academy of Fashion, Jaipur, FLAME, Pune. He has also been conducting design workshops in India and abroad.Dinesh believes that Design is finally about re-arranging information flows. He has, for the last two decades, been persuading Indian industry to invest in design for long term returns rather than write off design spending as an expense.He is currently an advocate of Plan Dûthe effort to find design solutions for real world problems.
A professional designer for almost 30 years, Michael co-founded Studio.Build in 2001. Beginning his career in 1990, he gained experience at various influential design studios in London, before joining the maverick graphics studio The Designers Republic in Sheffield, producing many works that have since earned a place in cultural history. Michael founded Studio.Build on one simple idea to do great work with great people- and that is at the core of the studios philosophy today. With a lifelong interest in typographic design, Michael is fascinated by the powerful part it can play at the heart of graphic communication, which is evident in the work of the studio. Michael has been on the judging panel of design awards worldwide, and has given talks and offered opinion on design at conferences across the globe. The studio has won several awards including from the prestigious D&AD global design awards.
Jonathan Black (he/him) is the co-founder of The Office of Ordinary Things, a socially- and environmentally-conscious design studio based in San Francisco. Jonny is hellbent on making sustainable graphic design the industry norm and shakes his fist at greenwashers, climate deniers, and people who chew gum near his ears. Jonny has an MFA in Visual Communication and has taught at The University of Arizona and The University of Colorado Boulder. His work has been published in AIGA Eye On Design, Communication Arts, Creative Review, It's Nice That, Dezeen, Fast Company, and jonnyiscool420.tumblr.com.
Richard Roche (he/him) is the co-founder of The Office of Ordinary Things, a socially- and environmentally-conscious design studio based in San Francisco. Richard specializes in creative direction, web development, and copywriting. Most of his daily routine consists of hovering over elements he recently coded to make sure the animation is still rad, color coding his spreadsheets, and making eye-roll inducing dad jokes.
Nishma is a co-founder and Director at Ticket Design, a design and innovation consulting firm involved in product, packaging and UX design. Under her leadership Ticket Design has established itself as a respected design consulting firm, with a wide variety of award winning products launched in the Indian as well as International markets. Some of the awards that Ticket Design has won under her vision are Red Dot Product Design Award in 2013, CII award for UX design 2013 and Silver award at US Appliance Design.During her tenure at Ticket Design, she has been the force of converting ideas into reality. With a robust background in design and years of hands-on design realization she brings her extensive knowledge of product development to the projects. Her project management experience has helped her team to get to the root of a problem and look at meaningful creative solutions. Nishma has helped to create award winning solutions in the medical, packaging, consumer, appliances and telecommunication domain. She is an alumnus of NID (National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad), Asia's premier design school. Nishma, started her career as an industrial designer with Tata Johnson Controls in which she designed passenger car seating. Nishma went on to design several products for Bluestar, Whirlpool, Siemens, Honeywell as well as other companies.
