CLMBR - The Vertical Climber Reimagined

The CLMBR is an ergonomic and innovative climbing machine. The CLMBR's patent pending design has a high build quality, low level of required maintenance and is easy to move – it's perfect for heavy commercial use. The machine is beautiful with an open structural design that leaves users' views unobstructed, supporting a natural athletic posture. It also offers the latest user interface technology and state-of-the-art companion app that displays key metrics to maximize the user's experience, including the vertical feet users have climbed and the workout targets they have reached. Optional integrated audio can fill even a full studio with both music and an instructor's voice. Unlike traditional climbing machines, the CLMBR reaches for new heights and is ideal for any modern gym. With zero impact, the machine is safe for almost all ages and levels of ability.

Early Ideation

Climbing - a full-body workout that combines high intensity cardio with resistance training - is one of the most efficient workouts possible, and a top-of-the-line climbing machine belongs in every fitness space, from commercial gyms to boutique studios. However, the climbing machine segment has seen very little innovation over the last 40 years in regards to quality, design and technology. CLMBR has identified and addressed the pain points that fitness facility operators and end users typically experience with traditional climbing machines.

CLMBR delivers a highly durable piece of fitness equipment that is low-maintenance and created to be flexible enough for use in any space. The user experience is unlike anything that has been seen in this segment – the CLMBR machine is an easy to use, inviting device complete with pre-loaded tutorial videos and a radically new design that is free of the typical central shaft found on other climbers.

Built with a lightweight aluminum frame and integrated wheels, the CLMBR machine is portable and easy to move. The machine is engineered with high quality industrial grade materials, including Kevlar-reinforced belts, and is made specifically for heavy commercial use. Its critical parts are easily accessible, allowing for simple maintenance.

The CLMBR team chose to reinvent the existing climbing machine to change the workout world and help bring awareness to the modality of climbing. The open design removes the intrusive central pole typically found in outdated machines that blocks users' view and is likely to interfere with correct body posture. The optional integrated audio system can fill a full studio with music and an instructor's voice, removing the need for expensive and complicated audio systems. This updated design makes CLMBR an essential addition to gyms and studios for group fitness classes.

The CLMBR has a state-of-the-art user interface that is paired with an app that displays key metrics, rich content and visuals to maximize the users' experience. Metrics include the total vertical feet users have climbed, elevation, power, tempo and unique notifications when workout targets have been reached.

The CLMBR team has joined with a unique group of ambassadors who believe in its mission. Current CLMBR ambassadors include Chauncey Billups, Parker Spencer, Lance Kendricks and Casey Mears.

CLMBR's mission is to revolutionize the climbing machine and empower people to achieve more with greater efficiency. Every detail of the CLMBR has been designed and engineered with the end user in mind. This is movement the body was made for.
