COS-Conveyer

COS-Conveyer is a vehicle that can quickly transport goods from large trucks to other vehicle. COS-Conveyer is equipped with an hydraulic lift system, which enables trucks with different unloading heights to transfer goods to each other; With the existing pallet truck, the goods in the truck can be placed on the conveying roller to move the goods quickly, saving the time for moving the goods, that is, multiple transfers, which can improve the occupational injury and poor efficiency of the staff caused by the transfer of existing goods.

Design background

Influenced by the epidemic situation, due to the limited action, consumers have moved their purchase demand online to form a new shopping habit. Shopping through online orders has led to the rapid rise of online shopping and cooperation with the logistics industry so that goods can be delivered to people in the shortest time. However, such a large number of packages need to be handled manually.

Existing problems

1. The transfer space is narrow for small

Trucks to transfer goods, and many large trucks are parked in the unloading area. It is difficult to exchange and sort goods, the urban planning land is expensive, and there is not enough unloading space. The cargo handling tolerance distance is 3.64 parking spaces in average.

2. Logistics drivers work in a high-temperature environment for a long time

Logistics drivers also have to help the parcels sent by merchants and consumers in the warehouse to be sorted and loaded into trucks in sequence. However, there is no air-conditioning equipment at the cargo transfer site. In the operation site close to 40 degrees.

3. Transit height difference

Since the weight of the goods is often carried by manpower, the trucks need to be close to the delivery location to stop for loading and unloading. However, sometimes the goods are transferred to other trucks, and the height of the unloading plane is inconsistent due to the different styles of vehicles, and a large number of manual handling is used.

Solution

COS-Conveyer can expand the delivering area by folding, which is in line with the parking distance of the vehicle. COS-Conveyer is equipped with a hydraulic lifting device inside, which can adjust the hydraulic rod according to the height of the truck to unload the platform so that the cargo conveying area can reach the required angle for transportation or become a ramp to speed up the conveying speed.

Goods transportation information relationship

When the incoming truck is ready to enter the warehouse, it can send a notification to let COS-Conveyer know, and help to guide the truck to the unloading point, and will fold or unfold the three-fold hydraulic lifting delivering platform according to the parking distance of the truck, so that the goods can be unloaded from the truck smoothly. At this time, it can also be matched with modular smart cars, such as robotic arms, stackers, or carrying platforms, to help speed up the sorting and delivery of goods. Modular smart cars can replace large vehicles in the warehousing industry and achieve shared use, saving more energy for the industry and driving overall work efficiency.

Market size

E-commerce has changed consumer culture, and the use of online shopping and package delivery services continues to grow at an alarming rate. The UPS CEO has predicted that peak season demand for package deliveries will exceed about 5 million packages per day. Amazon ships an average of 608 million packages per year, which equates to (estimated) 1,600,000 packages per day.

Consumers shifted their purchasing needs to online and formed new shopping habits. Shopping through online orders has led to the rapid rise of online shopping and cooperates with the logistics industry to allow goods to be delivered to people in the shortest possible time.

COS-Conveyer is equipped with various modular intelligent vehicles and system services to enable the smooth transfer of goods and save manpower so that the warehousing industry can increase the rate of goods transfer and obtain more profits.

Proposed benefit to user

In line with the ninth SDGs Industrial, innovation and infrastructure, COS-Conveyer is introduced into the warehousing and freight management industry to improve occupational injuries caused by overtime work. COS-Conveyer can continuously convey the goods when the porters are resting so that the overall operation can be maintained to a certain extent, and the efficiency and quality of goods transmission can be accelerated.
