Our product prototype is a piece of connected home decor. It's designed to complement an upscale contemporary home as a keys and change dish, but it also acts as a passive indicator of the owner's life online. The dish connects via wifi to IFTTT, an easy-to-use platform for connecting online services together. With channels such as Facebook, email, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, IFTTT allows the device to show you a slew of different possible notifications. The notification glow that emanates between the handcrafted wood and metal enclosure is also customizable so that the color and brightness will match the user's existing decor.
