RedRock+ Identity Systems Rebrand

RedRocks Park and Amphitheatre is a national park and amphitheatre located in Morrison, Colorado. RedRocks is a sanctuary for healing, nature exploration, as well as music.

The redesign emphasizes the park's unique geography and cultural significance, making it an inclusive and accessible destination for visitors of all backgrounds to explore, learn and enjoy. The rebranding focuses on broadening the audience demographic and promoting the area's natural attractions and geological history.

The logo is a bold, organic, one-stroke design. To maintain consistency by using the same approach, a custom typeface was created to be utilized as header text and brand elements. These organic strokes and fluid movements can be found throughout the rebrand package. The redesigned RedRocks+ has a brand story that is flexible, informational, and breaks away from structured typographic language.

RedRocks Park and Amphitheatre (also colloquially as simply Red Rocks) is an open-air amphitheatre built into a rock structure in the western United States, near Morrison, Colorado, ten miles west of Denver. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area for up to 9525.

The objective of this project is to create a visual identity rebranding that emphasizes the unique points as well as the potential for exploration for RedRocks Park and Amphitheatre. Through the rebrand, some established goals are to promote and distinguish different content types. Such contents include geological/historical documentaries, interview/podcast, and concert playbacks. Besides the contents, creating new assets for the national park itself (signage, map, trail, history information) is essential to the brand development.

In order for this attraction to stand out amongst other national parks and national landmarks, the entire identity practices consistency. The brand elements highlight the strengths from the brand message to the graphics to the prints and signage.

The mission statement is: RedRocks Park and Amphitheatre is dedicated to providing endless exploration, geology, culture, and sustainability for visitors of diverse backgrounds.
